The Wait is over!
I must say that “the wait is over” for all Porsche fanswho have been waiting for a Porsche Pure EV, whichis not just a luxury sports car like the Taycan, but with complete utility functions as well. It’s time for the new Allelectric Macan!
I admit that when I saw the teaser last year, I was secretly trembling with excitement and anticipation. This model must be one of the bestsellers because it perfectly fits the bill for its versatility like a Sport Utility with the classic Porsche style and the cutting-edge technology.
The New All-electric Macan comes in a concept ‘Change Everything but Never Change the Identity’. Only the engine that is changed, but the spirit of Porsche remains. Porsche is a brand that places great emphasis on design. By doing their best to strike a balance between the brand’s DNA and innovation, every car clearly resonates the spirit of Porsche, no matter how much innovation has been developed inside.
The World Premiere went live in January, livestreaming around the world from Gardens by the Bay, Singapore. The new All-electric Macan made its beautiful debut for the first time. And it is considered an important step for Porsche to officially become a full-fledged manufacturer of luxury EV cars.
The new All-electric Macan was launched in 2 models: Macan 4 and Macan Turbo (Porsche choose to keep the word ‘Turbo’ as a symbol of power, although the engine has changed). The Macan 4 debuted in eye-catching pink and the Macan Turbo in white. The exterior has been crafted to be even more captivating, sleek, and cool. Let’s take a look at their specs:
The Macan 4 – maximum power: 408 horsepower (PS), maximum torque: 650 Newton meters, acceleration: 0 – 100 km/h within 5.2 seconds, total distance: 516 – 613 km (city range is 665 – 784 km according to WLTP standard).
The Macan Turbo – maximum power: 639 horsepower (PS), maximum torque: 1,130 Newton meters (Oh my!!!), acceleration: 0 – 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds (Does anyone want it faster?!), total electric range: 518 – 591 km (city range is 670 – 765 km according to the WLTP standard). With charging efficiency from 10% to 80% in less than 22 minutes (direct current or DC power up to 270 kilowatts at an 800-volt charging station), it will never let you down and even allow you enough time to get coffee.
Another feature that I like the most is the Head-up Display, an evolution that combines Augmented Reality technology that can give directions and various information. It’s like you see the image of information displayed on the road to the driver within ten meters. What a beauty.
The Macan comes at a more affordable price because it’s positioned in the affordable range for Porsche first-time owners. The Macan 4 starts at 5.39 million baht and the Macan Turbo starts at 7.79 million baht. They will be ready for delivery at the end of the year.
