5 ◎ CURATED ◎ PICKS
If Paris Fashion Week is the defining event of the fashion world, Milan Design Week is its counterpart in the global design scene. Held from April 20–26, Milan once again came alive with exhibitions, installations, and showcases from leading international brands and designers across the city.
What stood out most this year was a shift beyond aesthetics toward a more human-centered approach to design – one that focused on experience, emotion, and sensory engagement. From immersive craft installations and tactile materials to softly sculptural furniture designed to evoke warmth and comfort, Milan Design Week 2026 reflected a softer and more intimate direction in contemporary design.
For this issue of Art & Style, we curated five standout pieces that best captured the mood and evolving language
of Milan Design Week 2026.
1.Craft as immersive architecture. DIOR MAISON × NOÉ DUCHAUFOUR-LAWRANCE

Inspired by Christian Dior’s iconic Corolle silhouette, Noé DuchaufourLawrance reimagines lighting through sculptural Murano glass inspired by the fluid draping and pleats of couture fabrics, presented within an immersive bamboo installation by Thai artists Korakot Aromdee and Vasana Saima.
2.Light designed for calm and quiet living. LOBMEYR’S ORCHID LIGHTING
Crafted from hand-formed brass in Lobmeyr’s Viennese atelier, The Orchid Light reinterprets the delicate form of orchids through contemporary craftsmanship.

3.Material becomes experience. TACCHINI’S ARTONA
With its warm wood tones and enveloping silhouette, Artona brings a sense of calm, grounding, and quiet comfort within the space.

4. KNOLL’S BIBONI
The Biboni collection features sculptural chairs and sofas with rounded forms and soft textured fabrics,
reflecting the warmer and more relaxed mood of contemporary interiors.

5.Modular living as mood and atmosphere. H&M HOME × KELLY WEARSTLER
Presented within the historic Palazzo Acerbi in Milan, H&M HOME and Kelly Wearstler explored modular contemporary living through layered materials, sculptural furniture, and atmospheric lighting. The installation reflected a more flexible and emotional approach to interiors one designed around mood, experience, and the evolving rhythms of everyday living.
