CHIANG MAI TO KOH PHANGAN

Thailand offers countless routes that capture the essence of its diverse beauty, but few journeys are as
enchanting as the path from the misty mountains of Chiang Mai to the azure waters of Koh Phangan. This route takes you through Thailand’s cultural heartland to its tropical paradise, offering memories that will last a lifetime whether you’re traveling with close friends or solo.

CHIANG MAI

A city of endless charm, blending culture, tradition, art, cuisine, and nature. No matter how many times you visit, Chiang Mai never fails to captivate with its timeless appeal.

THA PAE GATE

The orange brick walls contrasting against the blue sky, accompanied by flocks of pigeons, make Tha Pae Gate the most iconic photography spot in central Chiang Mai. Historically, this gate served as the trading connection between city dwellers and those living outside the city walls. Today, the Tha Pae Gate area has become the hub for Chiang Mai’s major events, including the Loy Krathong Festival, New Year celebrations, and the vibrant Sunday Walking Street Market, bustling with food vendors, souvenirs,
handicrafts, and live music. Visit during the evening before sunset for the best backlit photography opportunities while exploring the ancient city walls – the atmosphere is absolutely magical.

DOI SUTHEP

“If you haven’t climbed up to pay respects at Doi Suthep, it’s as if you haven’t truly arrived in Chiang Mai.” This saying remains true today. Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Temple is Chiang Mai’s most sacred temple, perched atop Doi Suthep Mountain. The temple houses a magnificent Chiang Saen-style pagoda, gleaming with gold leaf applied by skilled Lanna craftsmen. Sacred relics are enshrined beneath the pagoda’s base, following ancient traditions. The temple grounds also offer breathtaking panoramic views of nearly the entire city of Chiang Mai. To reach the temple, you must climb the 306-step Naga staircase or take the electric tram. The temple serves as a spiritual center for locals and a must-visit destination for travelers seeking both cultural enrichment and stunning views.
