Meditation, Motherhood and moving on
Once a upon a time, there was this beautiful young girl named Lindsay Lohan who quickly rose to fame. Suddenly, the girl had everything she could ever dream of. Before we knew it, she had become another case of Hollywood’s wild child, heading for ruin.
Unlike most young actors who got caught up in success and drowned in endless partying and drinking, Lohan mustered up enough courage to make a total turnaround. She moved to Dubai to escape from the limelight, became a businesswoman, met her husband and started a family.
Now, she’s fully and truly back: healthier, happier, and calmer. The last four years have truly been LiLo’s time. After almost a decade, she returned to acting in Falling for Christmas, followed by Irish Wish and Our Little Secret. This year, she made a big comeback with Freakier Friday, a sequal of the cult classic hit Freaky Friday.
With all the transformations, Lohan has credited meditation as her major lifesaver that has changed her life and helped her stay focused on her goals for the past ten years.
Here’s a story of spectacular fall and even more remarkable resurrection, proving that sometimes the greatest comebacks happen not in front of cameras, but in the quiet moments away from the world. Just her and herself alone.
The New York native began her career as a child model at the age of 3 and by the time she was 10, she played Alexandra “Alli” Fowler in the television soap opera Another World. She made her career breakthrough at the age of 12, beating out 4,000 other young girls for the roles of twins Hallie Parker and Annie James in the 1998 Disney movie, The Parent Trap.
What followed was a meteoric rise that seemed almost predestined: Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, a recording contract, and the crown of Hollywood’s newest IT-girl. At the height of her career, Lohan received numerous accolades at the MTV Movie Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and the Hollywood Film Festival.
But fame at such a young age came with a price.
By the late 2000s, her name was synonymous withs candals, court appearances, and a string of troubled projects. Following her relocation to Los Angeles at age 15, the star became a tabloid obsession. The tabloid era was particularly brutal to young women in the spotlight, and Lohan became its poster child. In 2010s, her life in the tabloids had usurped her career on the silver screen. Her reported run-ins with the law, continued tardiness to set due to excessive partying, and allegations of being difficult to work with overshadowed several attempted comebacks.
