
ALASKA – In October 2025, a sudden flood hit Bethel, forcing over a thousand families to evacuate. Many animals, including dogs, were left behind. A volunteer team led by Jesslyn Elliott raised funds on social media and used their own money to charter a small plane, flying through rain and fog, to rescue the stranded animals and bring them to nearby shelters, hoping they would later be reunited with their owners. These are ordinary people who dared to do extraordinary things for others. With their simple belief that every life matters, those forgotten animals got a chance to survive.
