THAILAND – Following a devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake on March 28th, K9 rescue dogs diligently aided human search efforts in the collapsed State Audit Office of the Kingdom of Thailand (SAO), where 103 people were trapped. Volunteer teams USAR Thailand (11 dogs) and United SAR K9 (10 dogs) worked tirelessly in shifts, showcasing their vital role. This has greatly improved Thai people’s awareness about the need for animal welfare and the plight of strays. It has also increased public donations to animal organizations significantly.
