This time, we’ll delve into its contemporaryart dimension and introduce its newly renovatedimmersive virtual reality zone through project mappingtechnology, the first time ever for Buddhist exhibition in Thailand.

Exploring Contemporary Architecture
Before entering the exhibition, take a moment to admirethe elegant white structure set against a backdrop of limestonehill. The initial architectural and interior design was conceived by Master Acharavadee Wongsakon, founder of Knowing Buddha Organization for the Protection of Buddhism (KBO). The intricate stucco patterns that decorate the building – inspired by Indian,Victorian, and Sukhothai art, were designed by Mr. NaknimitSuwannakudt, a celebrated Thai artist and heir to the legendary master Paiboon Suwannakood.
A Journey into the Life of Buddha
The exhibition is divided into three zones. The first, “TheBuddha’s Journey” exhibition, is a multi-sensory walkthroughtunnel that transports visitors back over 2,500 years. It recountsthe Buddha’s pivotal moments – why he left behind royal comfort,and the hardship he endured to attain enlightenment. Visitors willbe given personal headsets that offer narration in nine languages.
The final room is particularly moving – the combinationof lighting, video, and narration draws us into the moment of enlightenment – the birth of Buddhism and the path to wisdomand freedom from suffering.
