KWANTIP

If Thai dining is an art, then the samrub is its grand performance. And few stage it as elegantly as Chef Pom M.L. Kwantip Devakula. Known as a judge on MasterChef Thailand.

Start your meal with artful bites of miang khana (leaf wraps with kale), a delicately spiced chicken salad, or mango chili relish served with blanched vegetables, fried cha-om, and crisped gourami. Then come the main acts, one by one: a tangy pork neck soup, five-spice salted eggs, smoked duck panang slow-cooked over longan wood, turmeric-fried snowfish with young peppercorns. The showstopper is the river prawn, prepared sous-vide until perfectly tender, then fried golden and draped in rich shrimp-head reduction. Finally, a refreshing bowl of chilled fruit syrup (loi kaew) sweeps the palate clean.

Dining at Kwantip is more than just a meal. It’s an immersion into Thai culinary heritage and a reminder that food can be both memory and art.
