Early in my career, I dreamed, like most people, ofearning enough to live the perfect life to own a largehouse, drive a new car, take luxury vacations, and wear a brandname watch all as proof of my success. I gavemy all, and eventually, the dream came true. My earnings rosefrom tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands. On theoutside, life felt more secure… yet inside, I had never felt thishollow. I began to ask myself, “Why did I do all this?”
It felt like climbing a mountain. The higher I climbed, themore exhausted I felt, only to realize I had climbed the wrongpeak. Money can buy comfort but never meaning. The more Ibelieved money was the answer, the emptier I felt. I began tosee money not as the goal, but as a tool. Its value no longerlies in the digits, but in how I choose to spend it.
I’ve learned that a meaningful life doesn’t happen bychance, but by living with intention. Clear intention helps medecide where to invest my energy, time, and money. It alsoguides me in saying no to what doesn’t align with my values.
I’ve seen people buy luxury cars, only to work harder topay for them, or live in big houses filled with anxiety over themortgage. That led me to question my own choices:
• Does this work truly align with my values, or is it just forthe money?
• Am I spending my time on what truly matters?
• Am I spending my time on what truly matters?
