Will His Environmental Policies
Move the World Forward or Backward?
As Donald Trump returns to the White House, one major issue that catches everyone’s attention is his environmental policies, as it appears that he will continue with the policy in his previous term—prioritizing the economy and the fossil fuel industry over climate change. He has never been a fan of clean energy, particularly electric vehicles. This stance is in direct opposition to Joe Biden’s policies, which focused on making the U.S. a leader in renewable energy, including wind and solar power.
As expected, his policies have drawn fierce opposition from environmental activist groups like “Fridays for Future” and “Sunrise Movement.” These groups fear that without strict measures to cut greenhouse gas emissions, the world will face increasingly severe climate disasters—stronger heatwaves, wildfires, and storms—which will ultimately devastate both the economy and people’s livelihoods.
