Set along the Chao Phraya River at ICONSIAM, the restaurant brings together contemporary French dining with a setting that has been carefully designed around it. The interiors, by internationally acclaimed Jouin Manku, take inspiration from French references including the hidden gardens of Versailles, royal blue, pleated textiles, and grand chandeliers.

The journey begins in the Lounge, where warm wood, walnut, and brass create a sense of intimacy. From here, the space gradually opens into the main dining room, where floor-to-ceiling windows bring the Chao Phraya into view.

One of the room’s defining details is the sculptural pleated chandelier suspended above the dining tables. Made from fabric, metal, and glass, it adds a softer, almost organic quality to the space. Around it, royal blue, cream, natural wood, and brass create a palette that feels refined without being overly formal.

The river also plays a quiet role in the atmosphere. During the day, natural light moves across the room, revealing different textures and materials. As evening arrives, the view changes with the city lights, giving the same space a different mood.

The Rainbow Courgette Galette, pairing rainbow courgettes with Comté cheese, walnuts, and Peruvian sage beurre blanc, is a good example. Delicate yet full of flavour, it allows the ingredients to remain recognisable while using technique to add depth. Other seasonal dishes, including Ikejime Isaki and Blue Lobster with Kristal Caviar, continue to change with the menu.

For more intimate occasions, the Bronze Room and Pink Room offer private dining spaces, each with its own use of colour, texture, and materials.

From the first pause in the Lounge to the meal overlooking the river, the experience at Blue is shaped by both what is on the table and what surrounds it.
